Brittany, a social entrepreneur, has been advocating for persons with disabilities for most of her life. After her dad was paralysed, her family had support to adapt and had hope for their future. However, today many remain hopeless and unaware of their potential to lead a fulfilling life. AbleThrive is a platform that connects families impacted by disabilities to resources available online and in their local areas based on their needs and interests to accelerate the path to adapting and living well with a disability. Join Brittany so that everyone has a chance to thrive!

An industrial designer by profession, both of Joseph’s parents are wheelchair bound, and as a family they understand the trouble of planning an outing every single time. That was his inspiration to take action to make outings a better and smooth experience for all wheelchair users. Together with his team, he created ToTheLoo.sg, a one-stop online platform that enables wheelchair users to locate accessible wheelchair friendly toilets when exploring new places. A chemistry student and regular volunteer with the Singapore Association of the Deaf, JJ and his team at L-Cube identified that there is a severe shortage of sign-language interpreters and note-takers to assist deaf students. They realised a need to implement a universal solution and designed a platform to create an on-demand, economical post-production video captioning service with a fast turn-around time. This will not only benefit deaf learners, but also have benefits for hearing students. Together, they are working towards making education, the pathway to dreams, accessible to all, regardless of hearing or deaf.
